About this Role

The key role of a Senior Director (SD) is to engage with clients to ensure pharmaceutical products gain access to market and is available to patients. This means that the SD is responsible for developing a market access and reimbursement strategy that will address payer requirements, alongside the medical and patient needs.

A SD works alongside the leadership team to support the strategic objectives of the business.

Key Accountabilities

Business Development

  • Activelyprospectsand leveragesnewbusinessopportunitieswithclient and industrycontacts incollaborationwith Account Management

  • Leveragesrainmakingskillsresulting innewandrepeat businessfor Parexel. Isresponsibleforconstant monitoringof his/herA list, and is expectedtohavecontinuedcontactwithbothexistingandfuture potential clients
  • Leadsproject scopingcallsandproposal developmentfor large, complexand/orcross-service lineprojects

Consulting Activities and Relationship Management

Parexel related responsibilities

  • Meetsestablished metricsasspecified inscorecardonanannual basis
  • Completesbasic jobrelated responsibilities, includingtimesheets, expensereports, maintenanceofCVs,projectdeliverablearchiving, participation in internal initiatives/projectsorasa mentorasrequested by management
  • Defines self-developmentactivities inordertokeepcurrentwithinthe industry(i.e. maintainmembershipinarelevantindustryand/or scientific/technical association)

Essential professional experience

  • 8+ years Pricing & Market Access experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • 3+ years project management experience in pricing & market access and/or HTA and Literature review projects with the ability to control projects from proposal through to delivery with successful client outcomes.
  • Experience in managing large written communication-based projects such as GVD’s including a high degree of understanding of the factors that impact on successful completion of such large written market access communication projects.
  • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical market.
  • A strong track-record of timely and high-quality project delivery, with demonstrable experience in producing client-ready deliverables that clearly show an understanding of client requirements.

Skills:

  • Fluent verbal and written English, with a high degree of written accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills, including the ability to manage own time and others time to work to deadlines and the ability to manage multiple work-streams and lines of communication simultaneously.
  • Self-motivation, ambition, and flexibility with an ability to cope under pressure / with competing demands.
  • Proven client-facing skills and exceptional communication skills (including presentation skills).
  • Computing skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in particular).

Education

MinimumofaBachelorsDegreeinaScientificorTechnical Discipline, PhDorotheradvanceddegree (i.e. MBA)preferred.
