Principal Application Programmer

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BSc or higher degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related scientific subject with strong analytic skills and at least three (3) years of relevant career statistical programming or software development experience in a clinical development environment.
• Familiarity with drug development life cycle and excellent skills with the manipulation, analysis and
• reporting of clinical trials data.
• Ability to effectively perform complex statistical programming and related tasks
• Ability to work effectively and successfully in a globally dispersed team environment with cross-cultural Partners.
• Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks or projects.
• Experience developing, testing, and documenting Enterprise-level utilities, including SAS macros.
• SAS experience with extensive macro development.
• Experience in a UNIX/Linux environment including the automation of tasks using scripting
• Experience in the software development life cycle.
• Experience in at least one of the following additional languages.( Python, Perl, R)

• Technical writing ability for software development team use and end-user reference and training
• material
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• MSc/MA or higher degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related scientific subject with strong analytic skills and at least four (4) years of relevant career statistical programming or software development experience in a clinical development environment.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Develops enterprise-level utilities and macros.
• Adheres to functional standards, processes and methods across projects.
• Creates, maintains, and reviews end-user documentation (e.g. user guides, training materials)
• Contributes simultaneously to multiple efforts.
• Provide end-user support (e.g., troubleshooting) as needed.
