Key Accountabilities
- Preparation of Payroll inputs for India Payroll
- Liaise with the external payroll vendor for timely processing of payroll
- Check payroll output reports and ensure employees' salaries are paid accurately and as per the company's policy and local statutory regulations
- Prepare and create standard and adhoc reports as and when required
- Responsible for filing all the relevant documents as required under the labour laws
- Filing of Monthly/ Quarterly/Yearly payroll related returns to respective authorities
- Responding to Employees’ Payroll queries.
- Maintain Payroll records as required by SOX
- Working on the Audit documentation for Payroll
- Individually handle Statutory Audits
Skills
- Practical Working knowledge to utilize Excel for managing reporting files to compare data and calculations
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and methodical approach to planning and organizing workload
- Positive and self-motivated attitude towards work
- Proven ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload
- Able to work in an autonomous fashion, but is aware of when they need to ask questions to complete high quality and complex work
- Works using their initiative on a regular basis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Sound analytical skills to manage payroll queries and audits
Education
- Bachelor degree preferred.
Experience
- Should have at least two-three years of experience in a payroll and a strong understanding of payroll processing and tax compliance.
- Previous experience in other countries Payroll is preferred.
