Join our team as an Employee Health & Safety Manager at Parexel, where you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Global Employee Health and Safety (EHS) program. We are looking for a dedicated professional who will ensure Parexel's compliance with health and safety regulations while providing valuable guidance to employees and managers in maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Foster a positive and results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork.
- Communicate with the team in an open, balanced, and objective manner.
Development & Implementation:
- Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and related training.
- Drive the EHS program, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement of health and safety throughout the organization.
Risk Assessment & Management:
- Identify workplace hazards and risks through assessments.
- Create training programs and tools to aid in the implementation and compliance with the EHS program.
- Establish communication and escalation processes both internally and externally.
- Provide support to the Business Continuity Director
Incident Investigation & Control:
- Conduct investigations of incidents to identify causes and recommend improvements to existing controls.
- Determine necessary resources to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
- Monitor the performance of the EHS program and prepare reports for senior management.
Employee Health & Safety Expertise:
- Provide leadership and consultancy for EHS activities worldwide.
- Act as an internal and external consultant for EHS matters.
- Oversee the EHS program and guide the business in implementing and executing their EHS responsibilities.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Extensive EHS work experience in a global environment.
- Previous experience in the Clinical Research field (pharmaceutical industry or CRO) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of strategic and best practices in EHS.
- Ability to develop relationships with a culturally diverse group of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in delivering training to geographically dispersed audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
- Flexibility with work assignments and eagerness to learn.
- Cultural awareness and ability to work globally.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in written and oral English along with a degree-level education.
- EHS-related qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is required.
