Workday Reporting Lead

The role of the Workday Reporting Lead is to maximize the utilization of Workday reporting and Workday Prism Analytics to drive insights into human resource decisions. This includes supporting business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers. It also includes utilizing Workday Prism Analytics to incorporate appropriate external data.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Designs, develops, tests, and deploys reporting and dashboard solutions that consolidate and analyze diverse data objects and include data visualizations where appropriate
  • Consults with internal customers on data and analysis requirements and identifies data elements required
  • Drives the analysis of complex business problems and issues using data from various functional areas to provide insight to decision-makers
  • Acts as an internal consultant, point of contact, and trusted advisor to stakeholders both within HR and across the company
  • Validates complex business requirements with proof of concept prototypes
  • Supports and utilizes data preparation requirements as required
  • Coordinates the release process, including cooperation with stakeholder to release new or updated dashboards into production
  • Responsible for the high quality and timely preparation of agreed deliverables with no supervisory oversight
  • Understands and monitors organizational structures and adjust data sets, reports, and dashboards as appropriate
  • Develops models for advanced and predictive analytics
  • Drives process and technology improvements
  • Trains and mentors junior staff

Qualifications

Skills:
  • Advanced expertise in Workday Report-writing, including the creation of dashboards and calculated fields
  • Experience in Workday Matrix and Composite reports
  • Experience in the Workday security model and its impact on reporting
  • Ability to support Workday reporting and analytics needs for all functional areas - Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Talent, Performance, Succession, Recruiting
  • Knowledge of statistics at an intermediate level and prior experience conducting statistical analysis
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills in English
  • Client focused approach to work
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with and prioritize workload with attention to detail
  • Flexible attitude and ability to adjust to changing priorities, time zones, work assignments, unforeseen events, and new learning
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal to no supervision
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency about solving problems and completing work
  • Culturally aware with ability to work with virtual/global teams and travel as needed
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Educated to degree level (technology discipline preferred) or equivalent qualification
  • 3+ years of reporting and analytics experience, with at least 2 years of direct Workday experience
  • Previous experience in HR-specific reporting and analytics preferred
